NetPay and the Environment

NetPay has developed a Green Payments Program offering merchants and resellers a trackable carbon footprint for the procurement of payment processing services. NetPay are the first payment service provider to fully mitigate its carbon emissions and ensure that merchants and resellers can procure services in the knowledge that their environmental impact has been proactively addressed by a sustainable provider.

At NetPay we are committed to excellence in all aspects of our business, this includes our dedication to continual improvement and to reducing our environmental impact.

Our environmental policy is bought in to by the entire business. One of our key aims is to achieve ISO140001 standard in both our UK and Ireland offices during 2015. NetPay will also be the first payment processor in the UK to offer ‘green payments’ and mitigate the carbon emissions of our payments network and our internal IT.

NetPay participates in the Woodland Trusts Woodland Carbon project by mitigating the carbon emissions that NetPay generates. NetPay has worked with the Woodland Trust to create 1250m2 of new native woodland. In time this will absorb at least 50 tonnes of carbon dioxide, helping with our strategy to reduce our business carbon footprint. This is helping to create new spaces for wildlife and make the UK landscape more resilient to climate change.

The Woodland Trust Woodland Carbon project was created to help companies reduce their carbon footprint by locking up carbon emissions through planting trees in the UK to help support our natural eco system, and establish new woodlands for generations of people to enjoy now and in the future.

Our Environmental Policy includes:
  • We aim to be as efficient as possible in our use of resources and focus action on travel, waste, water and paper
  • We educate and motivate our colleagues to conduct activities in an environmentally responsible manner
  • Where possible all of our paper or paper related products purchased are from environmentally sustainable sources (FSC or Recycled)
  • Ensure that all of our printed material is produced on FSC or recycled material and using vegetable dyes and alcohol free damping systems
  • All printing is to be done by an ISO140001 certified supplier
