Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place today during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of amazing people will wear it pink in their communities, schools or work places for the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.
Since the first event in 2002, over £31.5 million has been raised for life-saving research. Nearly 450 of the world’s best researchers across the UK and Ireland are working to discover how to prevent breast cancer, how to detect it earlier and how to treat it effectively at every stage so we can stop the disease taking lives.
This year, 55,000 women will hear the words “it’s breast cancer” and around 11,500 women will die from it. Research holds the key to a future where all that changes. A future where women get to watch their children grow up, creating a lifetime of memories with the people they love. A future where, by 2050, every woman who develops breast cancer lives – and lives well.
A BIG thank you to everyone at NetPay for taking part in Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink day today to help this fantastic charity. You all look fantastic and thank you for your generous donations.
