Premier Teamwear Case Study

About

Premier Teamwear previously known as Sportsmania, has been operating since 1988 serving customers in the Hampshire area.

The business has changed a lot over the last 18 years, originally a sports franchise, the strategy was pile it high and sell it cheap, but with the growth of national chains like Sports Direct, the business turned its focus on teamwear and printing and embroidery on clothing. In 2016 the business re-branded to Premier Teamwear with a focus on printed kits, training wear and equipment locally and nationally.

Why NetPay?

Steve Smith, Owner of Premier Teamwear said,

A lot has changed over the 18 years that the business has been trading, for example a card imprinter was used instead of a card machine to take payments. Now our customers pay by contactless or mobile payments which are more secure and less time consuming to process".

Premier Teamwear, was by no means new to card payments, with years of experience taking card payments, PCI compliance and a variety of card machines, but they were looking to get a better credit and debit card rate.

We were looking for a better deal, a better price and reliable card payment service, having been with our incumbent supplier for many years it was time for a change. Steve from CardPay approached us with an offer from NetPay that was very competitive” continued Steve.

The Benefits

The rates that NetPay provided us were cheaper than our incumbent provider, which as a small business is very important. NetPay were all about working with small businesses, providing a great reliable service to their customers. It was not a difficult decision to switch“ continues Steve.

The Final Word

"Customer service with NetPay has been great, we even had an engineer visit us the same day when a fault occurred with our machine. We would highly recommend NetPay to other businesses” concludes Steve.
